Jaye Ballard has more than 25 years of experience fiercely advocating for clients in a wide variety of matrimonial and family matters.  He has advised clients on pre and post nuptial agreements, divorce matters, child support, spousal support, custody and access disputes, separation agreements, family offense and abuse and neglect proceedings.

Jaye is a trained divorce mediator who firmly believes that alternatives to costly litigation should be sought wherever and whenever possible. However, when litigation is unavoidable, he is a fierce advocate, and skilled litigator in the courtroom. 

Jaye is a member of the Manhattan Family Court 18-B Assigned Counsel Panel and is certified by the First Judicial Department as an attorney qualified to represent children in custody and visitation disputes in both Manhattan Family Court and Manhattan Supreme Court. 

Prior to joining The Law Offices of Diamond, Fee, Kalos & Ballard, PLLC, Jaye founded Jaye Ballard & Associates, a boutique firm that specialized in all aspects of matrimonial, family and criminal matters, offering a caring and forthright approach to client advocacy.

Jaye is a member of the New York State Bar Association, Family Law Section, the Brooklyn Bar Association, the Metropolitan Black Bar Association, the National Bar Association, and the New York Women’s Bar Association.

Jaye graduated from the University of Maryland at College Park with a BA in Criminal Justice and earned a JD from the University of Nebraska, College of Law.
